There was a solar eclipse one of the days we were at Cheung Chau. We made a pinhole camera and saw the crescent sun (total eclipse was a few hours north, in Shanghai). While making shadow animals, Christine discovered she could make many solar eclipses—any small space between her fingers acted as a pinhole and made another crescent.
