The last stop on the road before returning is the Thumb.

After some photographs of the Mittens in the afternoon sun, I left for Bryce. It is about six hours to Bryce. Two hours traverses Indian Country, coming down past the Navajo power plant onto the Glen Canyon Dam, which is simply magnificent. The drive continues on past the Grand Staircase, which has magnificent colors, at least it does at dusk. I recommend the Tex-Mex restaurant on the southwest corner of 89 and 9 in Mt. Carmel Junction.
