The visit to Daitokuji and Imamiyanjinja left me very disoriented, so I lost a lot of time in getting to Kamigamo. Unfortunately, Kamigamo was a bit disappointing. The main sight is these sand cones, which apparently commemorate large trees (or maybe the spirits of the large trees) that are no longer there.
