I got to Florence after everything closed but before it got dark, so paid a visit to the Duomo. The HDR is a bit heavy handed; I’m calling it artistic license.

The cathedral is stunning. It is huge, and covered with intricate artwork. The front has a lot of statues and carved stone, and even the sides have very precisely inlaid colored stone. Despite being very decorated, it was done very elegantly. Every time I walked by it, it was still stunning.
