At the end of the night market (walking north), turn left, and the shop on the south-east corner of the next street has most excellent seafood. I saw whelks on the menu and it sounded really interesting, ignored the waiter-guy’s concern that Americans do not generally like them, and I tried it anyway. The reason Americans are not into them is that apparently all the little baby whelks live with the parents, so you end up with a bunch of crunchy baby whelk shells. The taste is good, though.
I highly recommend Christine’s favorite, the scallops with garlic and noodles (not pictured).
