As the wash descends through the Moenkopi Formation there are many of these thin layers, which produce interesting shapes. There is also this surprise corral. You can think of it as a cattle rustlers’ hideout (or if you are having trouble imagining any cattle living here, the remants of a failed pioneer attempt, preserved in the arid climate).
