This looks out to where we came from. The trailhead is beside the road, which is maybe half a mile past the left-most point of the hills on the right.
Where is the water, you ask? There isn’t any; I have no idea how the Indians kept a camp here; perhaps there is a small spring nearby in wetter months. Bring plenty of water (at least 1 gallon per person per day). It is three miles back, and the heat in the middle of the day is easily over 90 degrees, even in the spring; in the summer it is over 100 degrees.
