Early on you come to a bend by a large oak tree that is growing mostly parallel to the ground. The tree was not terribly photogenic (although it is very distinctive), but I found this nice grasshopper-looking bug in the area. Honestly, I am not sure what this guy is, but he is certainly a good example of the wide variety of life in Big Bend.
